I might say this every year, but I can't believe it's October already. Editing on Cooking up a Vlog is moving right along, I can't wait to share it.
In the mean while, I got to sing a duet with Anthony Santelmo Jr. in his cabaret at the Lori Beechman Theatre. Sadly it was a bitter/sweet occasion. The talented Barry Levitt was Anthony's music director and he died 3 days before the show. I didn't know Barry as well as many others but his immense talent and obvious joy of music and life shone in all he did.
On the home front we are touring high schools for our #2 son. Getting a kid into high school in NYC is unlike anywhere else in the world. There are many choices but also many tests and interviews. It is a lot for a 13 year old to handle and not to mention their exhausted parents. Being that this our second time I was all set to slide through when my oldest came home with a "College Night" invite from his high school, Bronx Science.
Ready or not here comes the future!
